Bill Frisell
Hillman Center for the Performing Arts, Fox Chapel, PA the official name for the show was "Bill Frisell Explores the Music of John Lennon," and that pretty much sums it up. Guitarist Frisell did solo instrumental interpretations of Lennon's songs, both Beatles and solo. As a known Beatles fanatic, I was invited to give a pre-show presentation on the backstories to several Lennon compositions for The Beatles. The night was a lot of fun all around.
